Competition Screening:

For a $25 entry fee you get a video camera,
2 DV tapes* (1 for shooting, 1 for final version),
and an IMAC editing station. (Final Cut Xpress, IMovie)
(Extra lights, tripods or other equipment can be rented as needed, Note: Items will be rented on a first come first served basis)

• Filmmakers may work individually or in teams
• The films can be of any genre
(drama, documentary, comedy, experimental, animation)
• Maximum length, 10 minutes. (There is no minimum length)

The competition begins at 5:30 pm on Friday with a short demo of all the KIAC gear (mandatory). Participants will then be assigned cameras and editing stations. Editing stations will be set up in the KIAC classroom and will be available all weekend. Participants must hand in a final DV tape Sunday at 5:30 pm.
Participants may use their own cameras/editing systems if they choose.

All films will be screened in the KIAC Ballroom at 7:30 pm
on Sunday, January 31st. A winner will be declared by a
celebrity jury. The winning film will be screened at
the 11th Dawson City International Short Film Festival,
and an Audience Favorite Award will be presented.
